Face to face or self-paced online program to shift fussy eating habits and build healthy eating foundations for life

Food Foundations for Fussy Eaters - $120 per hour

Do you have a child, tween or teenager that has restrictive eating habits?

There are many aspects that contribute to what we call ‘fussy eating’ in children. These behaviours can divide families at meal times, impact growth and development, and further decrease emotional regulation due to nutritional deficiencies.

This program has been designed from our experience working with NDIS families, supporting the restrictive eating patterns commonly associated with Autism, ADHD and ODD, where not only are we trying to improve dietary intake, but also build healthy eating habits and confidence for long-term health and wellbeing.

Firstly, we look at the relationship your child has with food, their digestive function, gut health and feeding history, what they value and enjoy, sensory aspects, preferences and aversions, as well as their overall health and other external factors that may be contributing to anxiety or stress at meal times.

We then tailor a framework of activities to help them learn about healthy eating habits, their own food preferences and increase their willingness to explore new foods. All while supporting you ‘behind the scenes’ and working collaboratively with support workers, OT’s, Speech Therapists or Paediatricians when needed.

These appointments can be carried out online or face to face in the familiar environment of your home, depending on your requirements and what will suit your child most.
